Admiral Nelson died in 1805 at the Battle of Trafalgar. Nelson sailed on the HMS Victory. Nelson was hit with a cannonball and fatally injured and died within 3 hours. At the moment of victory Nelson's first mate (Hardy) told him that the English had won and then Nelson passed away. Nelson was put in a barrel of rum and taken back to England. The rum kept the body of Nelson preserved until he was buried back in England. This is the 244th invitation sent for Nelson's funeral. My ancestor Edward Edwards received this invitation.
