Achievements during Queen Victoria's reign included an express engine, the Forth Bridge, and a motor carMade to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897, this vase was one of a limited edition of fifty. Achievements of Victoria's reign, including an express engine, the Forth Bridge and a motor car, were painted around the portrait of the elderly Queen by the artist J.H. Plant. On the reverse of the vase he painted aspects of national life in 1837, including a stage coach, London Bridge, and Stephenson's Rocket, and a younger profile of the Queen.
