Wartime Plywood and Lead Toy Parrot

Ann Gardneer brought the object along to BBC Suffolk's open day, on Sunday 11 April 2010.

She was given the toy parrot shortly after World War II - a time, Ann says, when supplies were short for 'proper toys'.

The parrot is made of plywood, with lead towards the bottom.
