This Stainless Steel necklace was presented as a gift to all female workers at Firth Browns, Sheffield and is said to be made from the very first ingot of stainless steel. It is both a testimonial to the technological innovation of stainless steel and its impact on world manufacturing and to the story of women at work after the First World War.
