Cup and Saucer

Contributed by Winchester House School

Sir John Moore was my great-great-great-great-great-great Uncle. He was commander of the British army who famously fought against Napoleon in Spain. His most well known battle was at Corunna when he was struck by a cannonball and sadly killed. The item I have brought to school is a cup and saucer from his tea service which has run through our family for two centuries. It always goes to the eldest daughter which is currently my granny.
