Indian Earing-The Cabinet of Curiosities

This piece of Indian Jewellery was brought back to Britian in the late 1800s by a Victorian traveller - Helen Caddick who travelled the world and wrote about the people and places she saw. India was a British colony at this time and the British had an interest in all things Indian and were intrigued by Indian culture.

On display at Wednesbury Museum & Art - part of Sandwell Museum Service as part of 'The Cabinet of Curiosities' exhibition
