BBC Radio Suffolk sofa guests Judith and Patrick Phillips brought in these roundels to Lesley Dolphin's afternoon show.
They own Kentwell Hall in Long Melford, Suffolk, and are well known for their tudor re-creations. These roundels are Elizabethan and would have been used to serve desserts such as sweet items, fruit and nuts to dinner guests. These are illustrated with Aesop's fables but others would have had challenges on the reverse (such as singing a part). This set is still in the original box.
