Afrique du Sud: un ministre frappe une femme et s'excuse

La chaîne publique sud-africaine (SABC) a rapporté qu'une de ses journalistes a vu le ministre délégué à l'Education, Mduduzi Manana, frapper violemment une femme dans une boîte de nuit samedi dernier.
"La femme était en train de se diriger vers la porte de la boîte quand le ministre l'a bloqué en la faisant tomber. Il a continué à la taper avec ses pieds. J'étais témoin de la scène", a déclaré le journaliste Lumko Jimlongo.
Le ministre Manana n'a pas encore réagi aux accusations le visant.
Dans un tweet, le gouvernement sud-africain a déclaré qu'il approuvait le témoignage de la journaliste à la police.

Excuses et regrets
Le vice-ministre Manana a réagi en demandant pardon à la jeune femme, aux Sud-africains et aux femmes.
Il a ajouté qu'il va coopérer avec les enquêteurs et que malgré la provocation il n'aurait jamais dû la frapper.
