Coldplay go Kylie

Headline tribute to Aussie star
26 June 05 - Coldplay doffed their hats to absent headliner Kylie Minogue in their triumphant headline set on the Pyramind stage at Glastonbury last night.

Chris Martin sang Can't Get You Out of My Head and dedicated the track to 'absent friends', in tribute to the Aussie popster who pulled out of the festival after being diagnosed with breast cancer last month.

Their stadium rock extravaganza kicked off with Square One from new album X & Y and featured tracks from all three albums, including The Scientist, Clocks, Yellow and Politick.

During Speed Of Sound, Martin kept up his mocking of the Crazy Frog which kept the single from the top spot in the singles chart, singing "Crazy Frog, where are you now?" in the middle of it.

Elsewhere, Razorlight were the headliners on the Other stage and took the opportunity to air new material to the festival crowd. Johnny Borrell and co played new tracks including called Let The Whip Come Down and Kirby's House, as well as their well practised set favourites such as Rip It Up and Somewhere Else.

New Order's set on the Pyramid stage saw a special guest appearance from Scissor Sister Ana Matronic. The flamboyant singer joined the band to perform recent single, Jetstream in their first Glasto appearance since 1987.

Actor Keith Allen also joined in the fun, appearing for set closer World In Motion and taking the mic for the John Barnes rap in the middle.
