Echo & The Bunnymen
Originally formed in Liverpool in 1978 by frontman Ian McCulloch and guitarist Will Sergeant the Bunnymen released six legendary albums in their first ten years together. Last year's live album Me, I'm All Smiles is proof that they're still up there as one of the best live acts around today.

Echo were the first band I ever saw, in the days when combat gear was in, and I can honestly say they were as good now as they were then I still think Ian McCulloch rocks!

The Bunnies were one of the first bands I got really obsessive about (had to buy the first album twice as the cassette had extra tracks) but I only saw them once just before the apple went bad. The Summer Sundae gig was better than I could ever have imagined. Truly mindblowing.

Hey-In '83 or '84 you played the Channel in Boston, MA, USA. My friend, June McKay, husband Tommy, his brother owns the breakfast shop in Liverpool. You guys brought a hand-written note from June to me in dressing room in Boston. You'd been carrying the note in your pocket so far of the tour. Will never forget it and I thank you. I've been writing to June since we were 8 years old as a "pen pals". It really is a small world. Thank you and let me know if /when you come to Boston-we love you.Later,Glenda

Saw the bunymen this weekend last year at Belladrum festival near Inverness. Dont think Mac enjoyed it and it wasnt a brilliant gig musically but one people will remember. Mainly cos of Macs moaning and piss taking. Reminded me a little of York rock festival back in '84. Great stuff!!!
