The Divine Comedy
Neil Hannon is the constant and driving force behind The Divine Comedy. Last year's album Victory For the Comic Muse spawned the gorgeous 'A Lady Of A Certain Age' and proves that he's still got what it takes.

agreed with other comments here, neil hannon is a very much underrated songwriter and the divine comedy is underrated indeed. one of few bands that make me laugh and smile, while also being able to make me feel awe towards the beautiful songs. hope to see them live soon.

Neil Hannon is a legend!

Is he underrated? This has a Simon and Garfunkle sound to it and a lovely sound it is too!

"Lady Of A Certain Age" is certainly one of the best songs of the new album and really hearkens back to the days of Liberation and Promenade. By far the best thing to come out of the Brit-pop, and one of the most consistently wonderful acts I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.

lovely to hear mastermind off regeneration,in my humble opinion divine comedys finest album

Have been a fan since "Casanova" and all his albums have been top-drawer (apart from perhaps Regeneration). An immense talent who deserves more credit than he gets, however, the flip-side is that TDC seems like a well-kept secret that only us true TDC fans know about. The guy's a genius!

I just watched the video & am still waiting for the goose bumps to go away - absolutely brilliant!Live in Notts & couldn't get down the A46 to Leicester this time to see the show, but he's a totally different class to anyone else out there - even with just a piano & guitar. Can't wait for the musical he's working on. Every album TDC have done so far has been a musical on CD anyway, so it should be great.Awesome!

Music you return to again and again, like a favourite novel whose world immerses you in an ecstacy of wonder, each time giving you new narrative to follow up. Makes you laugh, cry, shiver and jump all at the same time. Fun, poiniant and beauttiful-i love Neil Hannon!

I first saw the Divine Comedy supporting Blur (of all people) in 1992! I have been blind with joy watching and listening to the beauty unwind and evolve over the past 15 years. Neil Hannon is the most underated talent in the UK music scene. To know The Divine Comedy is to love them. True beauty and genius.
