6 Music Showcase

6 Music Showcase featuring John Cooper Clarke, The Charlatans, Bombay Bicycle Club and Michael Kiwanuka

The BBC 6 Music Showcase in Salford will see us bringing an eclectic mix of musicians to our northern base for an evening of fantastic live performance.

The showcase will take place on Monday 31 October 2011 in the BBC Philharmonic Studios in Salford Quays and will be compered by our very own Mark Radcliffe & Stuart Maconie.

On the night The Charlatans - playing tracks taken from across their illustrious career - will be joined by emerging stars Bombay Bicycle Club - with their eclectic fusion of indie, folk and beats. Also, local legend John Cooper Clarke will bring his unique brand of punk poetry to the party, with newcomer Michael Kiwanuka rounding it off, contributing with his own brand of modern vintage soul.

The showcase will be broadcast live on 6 Music starting in Marc Riley at 20:00 on Monday 31 October.
