Residents of around 20 homes in Llanelli have been clearing up after their properties were hit by flooding.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said homes in Bassett Terrace, Pwll, were hit when the River Dulais burst its banks after heavy rain.

Police closed Glycoed Terrace in Dafen due to the flooding there.

Crews were on standby in the Carmarthenshire town to pump out affected properties once the floodwater had stopped rising.
