Enforcement officers said they targeted the station as a "hotspot" where the Wales-wide ban introduced in April was being flouted.

All three will now have to pay �50 or risk going to court.

Swansea Council said the majority of people and businesses were respecting the law which bans them from smoking in enclosed public spaces.

Its health promotion officer Chris Steele: "These are the first fixed penalties we have issued since the ban.
