Residents of a Pembrokeshire community are aiming to buy their former village school by selling shares. People in Hermon are looking to raise 120,000 to secure the building - which closed in June despite a long campaign - and turn it into a community centre.
Pembrokeshire Council, which owns the site, has agreed to sell the school to villagers if they can raise the money.
Five hundred shares at 250 each are being issued with investors becoming joint owners of the building.
Once the building is secured it is hoped to attract grant funding.

Co-ordinator Cris Tomos said there were about 400 households in Hermon and its surrounding villages and it was hoped people living further afield would also help.
"We are very hopeful - some people have indicated that they will be buying more than one share," he said.
"We have 15 community groups currently interested in using the building from the local young farmers to the gardening club."
Mr Tomos said it was hoped all the shares would be sold by the end of the next month.
The local credit union was offering loans for those who did no have the money instantly available.
"We are trying to make it fully inclusive," he added.
Hermon School closed on 30 June, with pupils transferring to the primary school at Crymych instead.
