The Llanelli Scarlets supporter facing a ban from Stradey Park for taunting Jonah Lomu has already been excluded from some English football grounds. Simon Coddington was tracked down after he confronted the Cardiff Blues rugby star from the touchline last week.
It has emerged Mr Coddington was given a six-year ban by Nottingham Forest in 2003. He is due to meet Stradey bosses this Wednesday.
When approached on Monday, his family refused to comment.
During the televised game between the Scarlets and Blues on 2 January Mr Coddington, who was dressed in a Scarlets top, threw the ball away from Lomu when it went out of play and then appeared to verbally abuse him.
The Llanelli Scarlets rugby club subsequently wrote to Lomu to apologise and club chief executive Stuart Gallacher said the fan faced a life-time ban.
All the club would say on Monday was that Mr Coddington, who used to live in Nottingham, was scheduled to meet Mr Gallacher on Wednesday.
A spokesman for Nottingham Forest FC confirmed Mr Coddington has been banned from all football league grounds in the Nottinghamshire police force area until 12 May 2009.
He said the order had been made under a local scheme known as PACT (Police and Clubs Together Against Violence).
The League One club said he was also subject to a football banning order imposed by the courts.
The BBC Wales website has not been able to contact Mr Coddington directly but his family declined to comment.
