Car girl parents 'devastated'

The parents of a seven-year-old girl who died in hospital after being hit by a car in Swansea earlier in the week are devastated by her death.

Victoria Louise Clement was walking on Manselton Road when the accident happened around 1630 BST on Tuesday.

She lived locally and was a pupil at Manselton Primary School.

She was admitted to Morriston Hospital with critical injuries, but died on Wednesday night at the University of Wales Hospital in Cardiff.

The car involved in the collision was a blue Vauxhall Astra convertible.

Police said her parents Paul and Lynda were devastated at her death.

She had two brothers, Ashley aged nine and Rhys aged four.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 01792 456999.
