A seven-year-old girl has explained how she saved the life of her babysitter after she had an epileptic fit. Katie Butler, 16, was looking after Carla Lloyd and her two-year-old sister Chloe at their home in Llanelli when she suddenly blacked out.
But taking it all in her stride, Carla immediately sprang into action.
She dialled 999, ran down the street to ask Katie's mother for help - and then took care of her little sister until the ambulance arrived.
Carla said: "I ran to get Katie's mummy and phoned the ambulance before she arrived.
"The lady on the phone asked me what was wrong with Katie and I told her I thought she was having a fit. I asked them to come quickly because Katie wasn't well."
'Clever enough'
Katie, who suffers from epilepsy, said Carla is now her "little hero".
"I can't remember what happened because when I have a fit I'm not aware of what's going on," she said.
"I'm going to buy Carla a box of Miniature Hero chocolates because that's exactly what she is - my little hero."
Katie's mum Lindy said: "Carla's a very special little girl. I'm glad she was there - and was clever enough to come and call me and the ambulance.
"It would have been a frightening situation for anyone to deal with but Carla was wonderful."
