Cardiff City and Scotland striker Ross McCormack has appeared before Cardiff magistrates charged with drink-driving.

The 23-year-old footballer was arrested in the early hours of Sunday 25 October, following his club's 4-3 win at Sheffield United.

The player, who moved to Cardiff City from Motherwell last year, was supported in court by City chairman Peter Ridsdale.

He did not enter a plea, and the case was adjourned until later this month.

Mr McCormack scored 23 goals for Cardiff last season and had been a transfer target for Premiership side Hull.
