A US computer forensics company is setting up its European headquarters on the outskirts of Cardiff.

eMag Solutions is involved in recovering electronic data for businesses, helping reduce e-crime and compiling evidence for court cases.

The company is creating 23 jobs, including forensic engineers, software developers and technicians.

Enterprise minister Andrew Davies said the company would be bringing "cutting edge information technology" to Wales.

He added: "eDisclosure and computer forensics is an extremely sophisticated field which is growing at a phenomenal rate."

The centre at Cardiff Gate is aimed at helping companies reduce business risk.

This can include tracking internet use and retrieving deleted emails and old data for companies, as well as compiling evidence for litigation in complex cases.

Clients include banks and major businesses and law firms.
