 Heavy rain affected large parts of Wales |
Several homes were flooded in parts of Monmouthshire and a road was blocked by a landslide following heavy rain. Fire crews were called to pump out homes in Monmouth and nearby Rockfield.
Les Fisher, who lives in St Vincent's Drive, Monmouth, said that the entire ground floor of his house had been flooded by four inches of water.
Motorists were advised to avoid the A466 at Llandogo, after a landslide affected the road both ways.
"There was so much rain last night, it was really heavy," said Mr Fisher.
"It started coming into the house last night at about midnight, we called the council and they put down sandbags but it soon started coming into the house.

"It is really depressing to see - all the carpets have been ruined and I've got to try and move everything upstairs now."
Mr Fisher, who has only been living in his house since January, said that a field in front of the row of houses had become waterlogged over the last few weeks after several heavy downpours.
Four rooms in the downstairs of his home have been affected by the water.
"It is very depressing especially as it is only three weeks before Christmas," he added.
Fire crews from Monmouth were called to pump out water from four houses in St Vincent's Drive.
On Friday morning, motorists were advised to avoid the A466 in Llandogo.
The carriageway was partially blocked both ways near The Woodlands after the heavy rainfall caused a landslide.
Heavy rainfall over recent weeks and snow melt has caused low lying ground to be waterlogged.
