Menai Electrical employed 50 people. |
An electrical company based on Anglesey has gone into liquidation with the loss of 50 jobs. Menai Electrical claim their problems stemmed from the fact they had not been paid for work they had carried out. Nigel Roberts, from the company, said non-payment by three building contractors meant they could not pay staff wages. The liquidator dealing with Menai Electrical confirmed their bank facility had been withdrawn. Robert Rotherford added: "The company had their bank facility withdrawn and then there were rumours around that they were in trouble - they had nowhere to go". The company moved to Gaerwen from Bangor recently but has been trading for over 25 years.
