Gwynedd primary schools affected
Plans published on the reorganisation of primary schools in Gwynedd recommend closing some sites, merging others, and building new schools in the county.

Meirionnydd

A new school Ysgol Ardal Penrhyndeudraeth will be created on a new site.

A new school, Ysgol 4-16 Dolgellau, will be created on a new site.

Clogau school would close under the plans

Pupils from Clogau will offered places at Llanelltyd, which becomes a federal school

  • Maenofferen
A new school, Ysgol Tref Blaenau Ffestiniog, will be created in Blaenau Ffestiniog

  • Bryncrug
  • Llwyngwril
  • Llanegryn
  • Abergynolwyn
A new school, Ysgol Ardal Bryncrug, Llwyngwril, Llanegryn, Abergynolwyn, will be created on a new site if possible near Bryncrug.

Pupils from Aberdyfi will be offered places at the Penybryn area school

  • Llawr y Betws
  • Parc
Pupils from Llawr y Betws and Parc will be offered places in Bala and Penllyn federal schools

A new school, Ysgol Ardal Nefyn, will be built in the Nefyn area
