A RAF rescue helicopter and Llanberis mountain rescue team reached a climber stuck on Crib Goch ridge on Saturday.

Meanwhile, a woman injured her ankle in a fall on the Pyg Track and a man fell on the Watkin Path.

Three incidents on Friday included a policeman from Northampton being flown to hospital by the RAF after he was hurt in a mountain fall at Cwm Idwal.

He was in a five-strong group of police officers, when he suffered minor head and leg injuries.

A man from London was also found by walkers in a state of partial collapse at Devil's Kitchen and a man had a heart attack on the summit of Tryfan.

The first call-out on Friday for the Ogwen Valley mountain rescue team was to a 55-year-old London man, who was found drifting in and out of consciousness on a mountainside at Devil's Kitchen.

He was flown to hospital at Bangor by a search and rescue training helicopter from Valley in Anglesey.

It is thought the man, staying at a nearby caravan site, may have been on the mountain overnight after collapsing.

A spokesman for the mountain rescue team said he was more than 2,000ft high but luckily the weather was good.

Later, rescuers were called to help a 53-year-old man from Nantwich in Cheshire, who had a heart attack on the summit of 3,000ft Tryfan.

A RAF Sea King rescue helicopter flew him to hospital and mountain rescuers escorted his 16-year-old son off the peak.
