Much of Llanrwst was submerged by the floods |
A three-day exhibition is being held in north Wales to show plans for communities affected by flooding. Starting on Monday, the exhibition in Llanrwst in the Conwy valley will provide details of scheme options.
Dozens of homes in Llanrwst were flooded in 2004 and the village of Trefriw was cut off when the River Conwy burst its banks.
The event will allow people to comment and raise any questions about plans.
It has been organised by The Environment Agency Wales, the public body which protects the environment in Wales, in conjunction with Conwy County Borough Council.
The exhibition will be held at the Eagles Hotel, Llanrwst from Monday to Wednesday between 1030 BST and 1930 BST.
On Tuesday representatives from the agency and Conwy County Borough Council will be on hand to answer any questions.
Assembly Environment Minister Carwyn Jones visited flood hit communities at Trefriw and Llanrwst January after the area was hit by severe flooding for the second time in under a year.
Existing flood barrier were repaired and strengthened and experts had drawn up four option to try to stop future flooding in the area.
A preferred scheme would be selected shortly although work on it would be unlikely start until the 2006/7.
