Jos Carreras is performing at the Faenol on Sunday |
Thousands of people are expected at a north Wales music festival to see Spanish tenor Jos Carreras on Sunday.
The Faenol Festival - the brainchild of Welsh opera star Bryn Terfel, began on Saturday with a performance by West End star Elaine Page.
Jos Carreras flew into Hawarden Airport in Flintshire to star in the festival's Opera Night on Sunday.
He will perform both solo at the Bangor estate and together with Bryn Terfel and the Orchestra of the Welsh National Opera conducted by David Gimenez.
Faenol, now in its fourth year, was set up by baritone Bryn Terfel, who was eager to bring musical giants to Gwynedd, where he grew up.

The concert will also introduce Hayley Westenra, a worldwide recording artist with Universal Records who, at the age of 16, has already achieved a remarkable stage career as a child vocalist.
"To be able to feature international artists of the calibre of Jos Carreras and Elaine Paige each year is a true recognition of our growing status on the international festival circuit," said Terfel.
North Wales Police and festival organisers have warned people without tickets not to go to the Faenol on Sunday evening as the Opera Gala concert to see Jose Carreras and Bryn Terfel is sold out.
Monday's "Dragon's Fire" programme presents an evening of Welsh Pop and Rock with a host of Welsh artists.
In 2001 the Faenol received the accolade of "The Greatest Show in Wales" at the Welsh Tourism Awards.
