Stan Boardman said he hoped the single would do well for a "very good cause"
Wrexham FC have teamed up with a new signing for charity - comedian Stan Boardman.
The Dragons and the Liverpool comic, a Wrexham fan, have recorded a single to support local hospices Hope House and Nightingale House.
Dragons on Fire was recorded with local band Midnight Hustle on Tuesday.
Boardman, who appeared at Wrexham's Racecourse ground as a player with Rhyl, said the single was for a "very good cause".

He added: "I'm a Liverpool lad but I was evacuated here in the war and I always support Wrexham and go to as many games as I can.
"I got to number 15 with a song about the last World Cup in Germany so I'm hoping this will do well too because it's in a very good cause.
"Maybe it'll make us all famous and we'll all be in the jungle next year."
Caroline Siddall, of Nightingale House, said: "We do have to raise an awful lot of money for the care we provide and this really makes a difference because it's not just about the income, it's also about raising the profile of the hospice."
The record will be available from next week in local music stores and supermarkets.
Hope House, in Oswestry, Shropshire, cares for terminally ill children and their families, while Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham provides palliative care.
Dai Evison, from Overton, and Ady Burns, of Midnight Hustle, recently signed a contract with Nashville music company Paramount and their song, Rocky Roads, is being featured in an American documentary about mountain biking.
