Bid to boost north Wales business
Venue Cymru
The conference is being staged at Venue Cymru
Business leaders from across north Wales are meeting to discuss how the region can boost its economic performance.

The inaugural Spotlight North Wales conference, at Venue Cymru in Llandudno, Conwy, also aims to develop business leaders of the future.

The conference will be hosted by BBC Wales presenter Rhun ap Iorwerth.

Steve Donnelly of the Wales Management Council said the event was the biggest of its kind in north Wales.

He added: "I cannot remember anything like this before in north Wales - certainly not on this scale.

"It will be a real opportunity to make a positive difference to the way we do things here. There is a distinct emphasis on partnership working and collaboration"

Representatives from 12 different businesses and organisations will address the conference, which will focus on how to boost the region's management and leadership skills.

BBC Wales are media partners for the conference, which organisers hope will become an annual event.
