The group were taken to safety by an inshore lifeboat off the town's main promenade.

The rescue was one of several made lifeboats and coastguards across north Wales in Tuesday's hot weather.

Rescue services said operations mainly involved children drifting out to sea in inflatable dinghies or people cut off by the tide.
