Bryn Terfel, Katherine Jenkins and the films of Charlie Chaplin are among the highlights of this year's 60th Llangollen International Eisteddfod. Terfel is making his first appearance at the festival for a decade while Jenkins will make her debut there.
Also featuring are four of the classic silent films of Charlie Chaplin - set to a new score by American composer Carl Davis.
The annual music and dance festival will this year run between 4-9 July.
The line-up for the 2006 Llangollen festival was announced by organisers on Wednesday.

The 60th anniversary event will feature the Hall� Orchestra, who performed at the first Llangollen eisteddfod in 1947.
Bass baritone Terfel will open the festival with his first appearance on the Llangollen stage since 1995.
The closing concert closed on 9 July will include a appearance by mezzo-soprano Jenkins, accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra.
The Llangollen International Eisteddfod brings performers from all over the globe to compete in singing and dancing - as well as attracting thousands of spectators to the evening concerts.

The festival was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in 2004 and has previously featured performances from Luciano Pavarotti, Nigel Kennedy, Shirley Bassey, James Galway, Lesley Garrett and Michael Ball.
According to the organisers, more than 500,000 overseas competitors have performed there in 60 years, watched by about three million spectators.
