Goldie Lookin' Chain will appear in Wrexham |
Welsh rappers Goldie Lookin' Chain and self-styled nutty boys of pop, Madness, will appear at BBC Wales' Children In Need concert to be held in Wrexham. The two acts will be joined on stage by Texas, Sugababes, Jo O'Meara - previously of S Club 7 fame - Alex Parks and Andy Scott-Lee.
The concert will take place on Llwyn Isaf Green in the town centre on Friday 18 November.
All tickets for the 6,000 capacity free gig have been snapped up already.
Newport rappers Goldie Lookin' Chain (GLC) and Madness were the final two acts to be announced on Wednesday.
Madness made a name for themselves in the 80s |
"We are really excited to be taking part in a worthwhile event such as Children In Need," said GLC members.
"Not only can we raise awareness for a brilliant cause, but we get the chance to out-drink the whole of Madness, and if we're really lucky, we can spy on the Sugababes in their dressing room - all of this, and in Wrexham as well. We cannot wait."
The open-air concert is presented in conjunction with Wrexham council.
Isobel Garner, the council's chief executive said: "The council is absolutely delighted to welcome Party for Pudsey back to Wrexham and to be working alongside BBC Wales and fellow sponsors Airbus UK again this year".
This year BBC Children in Need has already awarded grants totalling more than 2.6m to registered charities, voluntary and community groups across Wales.
