Beer-lovers' brewery expands
A small brewery started by two young beer-lovers six weeks ago is already planning to expand.

Geraint Roberts and Euros Jones-Evans, both 26, officially launched Bragdy'r Bryn in Denbigh on Thursday.

Mr Roberts said their incentive was his discovery that only a few of the 500 beers in the Great Beer Guide book were made in Wales.

The company started production six weeks ago and now supplies more than 20 pubs in north and mid Wales.

Mr Roberts said it was a labour of love: "I do like a good pint, and that's what inspired me."

He said each week they were now producing the equivalent of 40 nine-gallon casks of two types of beer a week for distribution to pubs as far away as Aberystwyth and Caernarfon.

A third beer - a pale ale - is to be launched soon.

"It's going really well," Mr Roberts said. "Our aim is that in the fullness of time we'll be listed in the (Great Beer) Guide."
