A World War II street party is being held in Wrexham to encourage residents from toddlers to pensioners to understand each other. The Caia Park estate will serve up spam sandwiches and play Winston Churchill's rousing war speeches.
The inter-generation scheme to bring young and old together was first introduced six months ago.
Elderly residents had complained about youngsters hanging around and felt intimidated by them.
"There were children hanging around the shops, they weren't doing anything but the elderly were a bit suspicious of them," said Tristan Thomas from Communities First, a Welsh Assembly regeneration programme.

"We're trying to bring the young and old together.
"This is another event to bridge the generation gap," added Mr Thomas.
The group have previously had ice cream parties together and been on an historical trip to Liverpool.
The event on Saturday will be held at St Giles Crescent and will run from midday until 1500BST.
"There'll be people who lived through the war who will be there," said Mr Thomas.
Lil O'Brien, a teenager during the war said it will be a fun day for all residents.
"We're having all the tables laid out for the children and they'll have flags and we've got army songs to play," she said.
"I can remember the war, I remember the bombs dropping on Minera mountain and I can remember the air raid wardens coming round."
She said the project has helped younger people mix with the older residents and for them all to understand each other.
"We went to Merseyside with the children and we had a lovely day," she said.
"Young children can learn a lot from the older people," she added.
