Amberleigh House
Amberleigh House won the 2004 Grand National
Grand National winner Amberleigh House has made his first racecourse appearance since his Aintree victory.

The horse, stabled just over the border in Cholmondely, Cheshire paraded during the afternoon on Saturday at Bangor-on-Dee near Wrexham.

The 12-year-old was trained by Ginger McCain who famously helped Red Rum to three Grand National victories.

Amberleigh House previously rehearsed for his Grand National win at the Wrexham racecourse.

Seven days before the horse's win in Liverpool on 4 April, Amberleigh House was brought to Bangor-on-Dee racecourse to prepare for his big day.

"Amberleigh House is a local hero," said Bangor-On-Dee's chief executive Richard Thomas.

Saturday's race was a charity day and funds will go to the Clwyd Special Riding Centre at Llanfynydd near Wrexham.
