Man admits ecstasy supply to girl
The batch of ecstasy
Police warned that the batch is potentially lethal

A man has admitted supplying ecstasy to a 13-year-old girl which left her seriously ill in hospital.

The teenager was one of five people who needed hospital treatment after taking ecstasy from the same batch on Saturday night.

Appearing in court on Monday, Kurt Marley, 21, pleaded guilty to all six charges against him - including four charges of supplying ecstasy, one charge of being in possesion of ecstasy and another charge of permitting the smoking of cannabis at his home in Crescent Close, Wrexham.

He had been remanded in custody to be sentenced.

A second man Gareth Jones, 21, of no fixed abode did not enter a plea in relation to the 11 charges he faces.

The girl, who is now said to be in a "comfortable" condition at Wrexham Maelor hospital, spent Saturday night in intensive care on a ventilator.

North Wales Police say the girl was part of a group which took the tablets at a house.

Afterwards, she and a 16-year-old girl walked into the Foyer Refuge Centre in Wrexham and asked for help, and an ambulance was called.

Three other young males were also treated in hospital.

Police officers said the potentially-lethal tablets were round and white with a bottle used as a logo.

"Police are advising people to beware of a rogue batch of ecstasy tablets in the Wrexham area," said a force spokesperson.
