Gareth Jones required hospital treatment |
Five youths have been arrested by police investigating an attack on a father-of-four "left for dead" at a north Wales train station. Gareth Jones, 41, from Colwyn Bay suffered a fractured skull when he was hit over the head with a rock last Friday after he asked a group, believed to be aged 15-18, to stop vandalising Prestatyn railway station.
British Transport Police and officers from North Wales Police visited several addresses in the Prestatyn area on Friday to carry out arrests.
Mr Jones said he was ambushed after he told a teenage gang off for vandalising a train timetable.
He suffered a fractured skull and needed 22 stitches in his head. He also has a suspected broken nose.
