Twenty four people including a boy aged 13 have appeared in court charged in connection with the outbreak of violence on a Wrexham estate last week. They included seven Iraqi Kurds and four local juveniles who were all released on bail.
The others were mainly men aged between 20 and 46 who live in the Wrexham area.
The majority of men who appeared before Wrexham magistrates on Wednesday were charged with violent disorder on 22 and 23 June.
Custody
Family and friends of the accused gathered inside the court to hear the charges against them.
The offences include, violent disorder, the making and throwing of petrol bombs and in the case of the 13-year-old assaulting a police officer.
Some of the accused will reappear before Wrexham magistrates on 13 August for committal to Crown Court.
Others are due at Mold Crown Court on 30 July.
Six people have been kept in custody.
A total of 74 people have been arrested following the two nights of disturbances, the first of which police said was "racially motivated".
