Seafront murder - man charged
Mr Dodd
Mr Dodd was stabbed at least 10 times
A man has been charged with the murder of a pensioner stabbed to death on a north Wales seafront.

The body of Brian Noble Dodd, who lived in the town, was discovered by a member of the public walking a dog in a car park at Ffrith beach in Prestatyn last month.

Paul Michael Khan, 34, is being held in secure accommodation under the terms of the Mental Health Act.

He will appear before Prestatyn magistrates on 22 May.

Mr Dodd, who was 72, was discovered lying behind his heavily bloodstained Y-registration silver Mitsubishi Charisma car.

The victim's two dogs were found next to his body.

Mr Dodd, a retired accountant, had been married to his wife Enid for 10 years and had stepchildren.
