Iraq veteran Phil Packer was joined by Olympic legend Sir Steve Redgrave and former England rugby coach Sir Clive Woodward on the final leg of his three peaks challenge in aid of Sports Relief.
Major Packer, who was once told he would never walk again when he suffered spinal injuries in a rocket attack in 2008 while a military policeman, has been accompanied by BBC presenter Kate Silverton on Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell in Cumbria and finally Snowdon.
The group planned to spend Sunday night on the mountain, having decided not to risk a descent in fading light after a delayed arrival from the north of England. They are expected to finish the walk on Monday.
