Visitor numbers were up by 6,000 on Monday and show organisers are hoping for another big turnout.

Lumberjacks have the chance to demonstrate their skills in a forestry competition while major cattle and sheep classes are also being judged.

Tuesday is also Welsh cob day when the breed will be sharing centre stage with one of the highlights of this years show a mounted performance to music by the Household Calvary.

On Monday, during the first day of the week-long show, Prince Charles spoke about his fear over a growing divide between town and country during the opening of the Royal Welsh Show.
