Llandaff village green in Cardiff has been transformed for an episode in the new series of Doctor Who, starring his new incarnation, Matt Smith.
Production staff have utilised the historic homes on the green to create the fictional village of Leadworth for the episode.
The set features exteriors of a pub, a post office, village pond, hospice, book store, and there are even postcards of Leadworth for sale.
The set has been dressed with a colourful array of fake flowers and items, including collection boxes and bicycles. Even where peoples' homes double for shops, shelves with goods for sale have placed behind the panes.
The pub on the set, known as the Traveller's Rest, featured a beer garden with the St George's Cross flag - in the capital of Wales, no less - and signs saying beer cost just 2.
Matt Smith will take over as the 11th Doctor in 2010. Current Time Lord David Tennant has finished filming special episodes, the last of which is due to be shown at the end of the year.
The new series of Doctor Who will feature an episode written by screenwriter and film director Richard Curtis, although it is not publicly known if the Leadworth set is part of his story for the show.
