Tributes have been paid to Richard Hunt from Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, the 200th soldier to die in the Afghanistan war.
Friends Jonathan Cholakian and James Cunningham, who visited him shortly before he died at Selly Oak hospital in Birmingham, share their memories of Richard.
The 21 year-old who served with the Second Battalion Royal Welsh regiment was described as a "passionate" and "talented" soldier by commanding officer Lt Col Mark Webber and also remembered by school teacher Gwenda Binns, as being a friend to everyone.
A minute's silence will be held at 1415 BST next Sunday, which would have been Richard's 22nd birthday, at his home town's war memorial.
