Frank Warren's Sports Network Ltd has gone into administration |
A company led by the boxing promoter Frank Warren has been ordered to pay Cardiff's Millennium Stadium nearly £144,000 in outstanding costs. The money should have been paid following Joe Calzaghe's world title fight with Mikkel Kessler in 2007. In a county court hearing at Caernarfon Crown Court, Sports Network Ltd was told to pay for stewards and policing. The firm went into administration last month after losing an £1.8m court battle with Calzaghe. Other sports promotion companies run by Mr Warren are continuing to trade. Deputy High Court Judge Seys Llewellyn ruled at Caernarfon Crown Court that Mr Warren's company had to pay for costs associated with the fight in November 2007, including stewarding, policing and safety.
