Soap stars celebrate record 25 years

The BBC's longest-running soap opera Pobol y Cwm has celebrated its 25th anniversary.
Pobol y Cwm - which translates as 'people of the valley' - is broadcast five nights a week on the Welsh-language fourth channel S4C and is the station's most popular programme.

"It's possibly because it's a barometer of Welsh life and it reflects what is happening in Wales," he said.
He added that even though the programme is in Welsh, it continued to prove popular with English speakers who can watch it with subtitles.
"We are constantly surprised how many English speakers will watch the programme, " he said.
"English speakers have a strong perception of Pobol y Cwm and enjoy the programme a lot."

The silver anniversary was celebrated by a "huge guest list" of hundreds who have worked on the series over its 25 year history.
Mr Dyddgen-Jones said trying to track down actors, authors and others who've worked on the programme during the last 25 years was a challenge.
"We had to make an announcement in the papers that we were celebrating the birthday of the programme because, obviously, over 25 years we were bound to miss somebody off the list.
"Now though, we are hopeful we've got most of the people together."
