Welsh Liberal Democrats assembly leader Mike German has celebrated his wedding. Mr German, 61, married Veronica Watkins, a Newport councillor and science teacher, at St John the Baptist Church, Llanhennock on Saturday.
They will be honeymooning in the USA, including visits to Chicago, Washington DC and Virginia.
The couple will both be standing for the Liberal Democrats on the South Wales East constituency list in next year's assembly elections.
Mr German, who has two grown up daughters from his first marriage, has been an assembly member since 1999.
