Car company makes 50 job losses
Welshpool
The firm set up on the outskirts of Welshpool six years ago
A Powys car components company has gone into liquidation, with the loss of 50 jobs.

Chris Innes, managing director of Marche Ltd in Welshpool confirmed the redundancies on Monday.

The latest announcement follows news of 70 job cuts planned for Trelleborg Bonded Seals in nearby Newtown.

Marche was set up in 1998 and opened in Welshpool the following year, supplying major automotive firms.

The 11,000 sq ft factory is based on the Severn Farm enterprise park and has traded as Cobra Acoustics.

Most of the workforce are local, although some travel from the Shrewsbury area.
