Bus driver charged with killing boy

A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a road accident last year in a which a teenage boy died.

Luke Pah-yom Tanhai, 13, died after a collision with a double-decker bus on Lake Road West, near Cardiff High School, last September.

Colin Haynes, 58, from the Gabalfa area of the city, was driving the bus and has appeared in court where he did not enter a plea. The case was adjourned and Mr Haynes was released on bail.

Luke died in hospital from his injuries after the accident on 29 September.

Many of his classmates attended his funeral, which was held at St Andrews United Reformed Church, Wellfield Road, Cardiff, in October.
