Court clears Church's boyfriend
Kyle Johnson
Kyle Johnson did not appear at court
The boyfriend of Charlotte Church has been cleared of a public order offence after an alleged row with the singer.

The Crown Prosecution Service dropped the case against Kyle Johnson, 19, at Cardiff Magistrates Court on Friday.

He was arrested last month when police arrived to an alleged incident involving the couple.

Mr Johnson, a trainee hotel manager, had been accused of using threatening words and behaviour designed to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

But the case was withdrawn by the CPS at Cardiff magistrates court for lack of evidence without Mr Johnson having to appear.

On Thursday, Mr Johnson was convicted of motoring offences by Cardiff magistrates.

He was found guilty of driving without insurance and an MOT certificate and not producing a driving licence.

The case was proved in his absence, and he will be sentenced in October.
