Motorcyclist killed in crash
Police tape
Police were called to the scene
A man has died in a motorcycle crash on the A5 in Conwy - four days after another fatal collision.

The man, who was in his thirties, died after a collision with a lorry at Padog bends near Betws-y-coed shortly after 1300 GMT on Thursday.

It comes just four days after another fatal accident involving a car and motorbike near the same spot.

On Sunday, Michael Francis O'Hare, 35, of Merseyside was killed when his bike collided with a car on the same stretch near Pentrefoelas.

Two people in the car suffered slight injuries.

North Wales Police have closed the road while investigations continue.

The narrow, winding road has been the scene of a number of motorcycle accidents in recent years.

In the early 1990s, a local campaign successfully fought a plan to bypass the Padog bends.

It was said at the time the move would have severely damaged an unspoiled area of the Snowdonia National Park.
