Passers-by in the city centre were asked to back the Not in my Name campaign, and show their opposition to any proposed conflict by signing a banner. The banner, complete with 300 signatures, is to be handed in to the Welsh Assembly. Group spokesperson Rabab Ghazoul said the group were community members who felt strongly about a possible war. "We were inviting other members of the community who feel the same to sign this banner," she said. ![]() People were asked to sign the banner ![]() Interest in the event was high ![]() Signatures were pinned to the banner ![]() Hundreds of names were collected ![]() The protest was held in Cardiff city centre ![]() Local people showed their opposition to a war with Iraq | See also: 31 Oct 02 | Wales 31 Oct 02 | Wales 07 Oct 02 | Americas 28 Sep 02 | UK 28 Sep 02 | Politics Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites Top Wales stories now: Links to more Wales stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
